Song Writing Intensives

In these intensive courses, students begin by learning different approaches to song writing used by some of the most successful songwriters of the past sixty years.

Program Information

Intensives are scheduled to run for 4 days, 2 hours per day. By the end of the week, students will take home a CD of a song they have composed (recorded using Pro Tools, the standard software of the professional recording industry). This course is great for anyone who is interested in any kind of musical composition as well as for students who are interested in professional recording techniques.

The instructor, Brandon Seyferth, is an award-winning poet and critically acclaimed songwriter who has written and performed original songs with a diverse collection of artists ranging from Jackson Browne and Eric McFadden of George Clinton's band, P Funk (whose music has influenced The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Outkast). Brandon currently tours and performs his original songs with Chicago-based Hot Heels Records.

Scheduling Information

Intensives run for 4 days, 2 hours per day. Students schedule intensive dates and times with instructor.

One Student: $480
Two Students: $800 ($400 each)
